VACATION Sign-up

Please see your child’s classroom teachers to fill out the vacation sheet for the weeks or days that you think your child will be away on vacation.

*** Friendly REMINDERS ***

Change of Clothes

Please be sure that you are providing your child with a few changes of clothes a day.

At this time we would like to offer a friendly reminder that all dirty and soiled clothes must be taken home daily.

We would like to remind our families that although we are open from 7:00am – 5:30pm it is recommended that your child not be in care for longer than 9 hours. Staying from the start of the day until the end of the day is too long for the children. Quality time with their parents is just as important as quality child care. If at all possible, share some extra special moments with your child and build memories that will last a life time.

Parents please note that if you arrive before 7:00am your child must be in your care until the teacher starts at 7:00am. Please note that our centre closes at 5:30pm. Our staff have families and obligations waiting for them. If you think that you might be late, please always have someone ready to step in for you as a backup. Be sure to call and let us know.

Parking Spots

We are asking all parents to respect the parking spots that are reserved as wheelchair accessible. We have children and visitors that require them. A friendly reminder to all that at no time should your child be left unattended in your car. Also remember that we are an idle free zone. As always, please mind your speed when entering and exiting the parking lot.

Standard Reminders

Illness:   In order to keep a handle on the number of illnesses in the centre we want all parents to note that if your child has a fever, loose stool or has vomited they must be excluded for 24 hours. We also would like your child to be Tylenol free for 24 hours upon returning to the centre. If your child is out sick please call the centre to let us know ; this also includes absent day as well.

Morning Snack:  Please be sure to give your child breakfast before they arrive at daycare in the morning. We do provide a mid-morning snack for all children. The morning snack provided is to help hold the children over until their lunchtime. A healthy breakfast is one of the most important meals of the day, studies state that children who eat breakfast are less absent, have more concentration and get better grades.

Please Drive Slow

We are asking all parents to drive slowly while entering, driving and exiting in the parking lot. We have had a few parents express their concerns about fast cars in our lot.  Please help keep our children safe. Remember that we are an idle-free zone.

Bubbles, Bubbles, Bubbles

  • 6 Cups Water
  • 2 Cups Liquid Dawn Dish soap

Hints: Clean up spills with a mixture of vinegar and water.

If your bubbles are popping too soon – add more soap, or a teaspoon of corn syrup; this makes the bubble stay longer – but use outside only as it might get sticky.
